The 60D is a design derived from the 100D & 120D, and shares a number of components such as the cab and boom design. Our customers over the years have asked for smaller tanks and booms which when fitted to the larger chassis made for an excellent machine but for some applications it was just not cost effective. We decided to meet this demand with the 60D making a smaller chassis but still retaining four wheel drive and the option of four wheel steer. The size change has also brought other benefits, we could get the same performance as the larger machines but from the Ford 1800 diesel which can be turbocharged for particularly steep terrain or extended road use. The other benefit we have also found is the 60D can fit onto a trailer and be comfortably towed behind a Land Rover or similar making it ideal for contractors or those farmers with non-adjacent land. Small is not necessary good in everything which is why we have kept the same dimensions for the cab as found in the deceptively spacious 100D and 120D.
